Mayflower Pilgrims Tea Cosy
I was asked to design a Mayflower Pilgrims Tea Cosy to celebrate 400 years since the voyage of the Mayflower that took the pilgrims from England to America in 1620.
The Mayflower pilgrims tea cosy depicts a couple and their baby. The husband is helping steady his wife as they walk along after their long and treacherous journey. They are dressed in 1600 style dress, the man in a tall hat and britches and long dress on the lady.
Around the back of the tea cosy is a wild turkey, I thought the turkey was a nice connection from the past to present day and the Thanksgiving turkeys that are enjoyed each year.
The man, lady and baby could easily be made as dolls. If you were to knit a the pattern for the legs in white with brown shoes, they could be sew to the underside of the center top of the skirt.
Mayflower Pilgrims tea cosy is a lovey tea cosy and is really detailed and perfect for the anniversary of the Mayflower’s voyage.
The Mayflower Pilgrims tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting them very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Thanksgiving tea cosy.
