This can be used as a purse, a notions bag or a general knick-knacks bag! It is worked in one piece from the top down and uses one of the mosaic crochet techniques, worked with two rows per colour. Also described is how to join the zip as you crochet, and make a lining if preferred.

The handle is created using either a fringe twister or twisted by hand. Here it is a short handle attached to the zip but can be made longer and attached to each side of the bag.

The pattern is 14 pages long and includes written instructions, photo tutorials and charts and the mosaic technique is fully explained - a great pattern to try out mosaic crochet !!

Size: The bag is approximately 20cm (8 in) wide x 15cm (6in) high.

Yarn:
1 x 100g ball Lion Brand cotton 24/7 of each colour (actual amount used: 37g and 28g)

ANY DK OR WORSTED WEIGHT NON-STRETCHY YARN (E.G. COTTON) CAN BE USED

Other materials needed:
3.5mm crochet hook (E)
Tapestry needle
20cm (8in) zip
Stitch marker

OPTIONAL
Approx 45 x 18cm (17¾ x 7in) fabric to line the bag.
Approx 60cm (24in) 4ply/fingering smooth cotton yarn in a similar colour to the zip if you wish to join the crochet to the zip as you go.
