McEdwards Blanket
I really wanted to make a gift with meaning for one of my best friends wedding and so the McEdwards blanket was born.
This is a simple, yet addictive design and is ideal for an advanced beginner.
The pieces are joined with the aid of crochet, creating that dark seam. However, if you wanted to, you could easily sew this together instead. You would lose the effect of the seam.
This pattern uses MillaMia Naturally Soft Aran in the following shades and quantities.
• 12 x Stone (202)
• 12 x Cinder (201)
• 10 x Ivory (221)
• 6 x Ochre (240)
• 4 x Slate (200)
5mm knitting needles are used to knit the blanket and a 4mm crochet hook is needed for the seam.
This makes an ideal gift and can be passed down future generations. Because who does’t love an heirloom? Especially one that’s cosy!
