McLace Shawl
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
This shawl uses a single color, small motifs, and chain stitches to produce a tartan-like appearance. The yarn used is a linen/bamboo/cotton blend, which gives a lovely drape, and its timeless style will make it a go-to accessory in your wardrobe.
The pattern uses Breakaway Crochet techniques which makes it possible to seamlessly incorporate the small motif as you go. You essentially need to learn only a few rows that repeat throuhout, and once you learn the pattern sequence it is easy to modify the size of the shawl.
A YouTube tutorial is also available.
