Each bootie is worked flat from the ribbed cuff to the sole. The cuff has eyelets to interlace a crocheted cord.
The last row of stitches are placed on two separate needles and grafted together using the Kitchener Stitch.
The cord is a crocheted chain of a double-strand of yarn threaded through the eyelets. A pom-pom is secured at each end of the cord.
The crocheted cord and pom-poms can be replaced by a commercial ribbon laced through the eyelets.
Gauge: 36-40 stitches = 4” in stockinette stitch
Materials: about 100 yards of fingerweight yarn, size 0 or 1 - 7” double-pointed needles in the size to obtain gauge, removable stitch markers, yarn needle, size 3 crochet hook
