MCM stands for Mid-Century Modern, the era known for its bold geometrical patterns, clean and simple lines and minimalist designs. The semi-circle pattern is part of one of my shawl designs, the Palm Springs Glory Shawl. In fact, this pattern makes a great swatch for the shawl!
The pattern is worked using the mosaic knitting technique which was invented by Barbara G. Walker in the late 60s. Mosaic knitting uses slipped stitches to create a color pattern.
