Meadow is a headband with a cable-like texture panel running across. It’s knit as a long tube, that is either grafted together or fastened with buttons. The pattern contains instructions for both constructions, and also options for a twisted headband. The fit of the headband is easily adjusted, and the best way to achieve the perfect fit would be to try the headband on the head that will be wearing it. The English pattern has both a charted and written instructions for the texture pattern, Finnish has only charts.

Size:
9,5 cm wide, approx. 52 cm around. The circumference is very
easily customized to achieve the perfect fit for every head size.

Yarn:
Holst Garn Supersoft, (50 % merino wool, 50 % shetland wool, 287 m / 50 g) or other light fingering weight yarn.

1 cake. The required yardage depends on the length of the headband.

Needles:
3 mm - 32”/80 cm circular needle for magic loop (or dpns if you prefer). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge:
15 sts x 26 rnds = 2 x 2” / 5 x 5 cm in broken ribbing worked in the round (after blocking).

Others:
a stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Optional depending on the version: scrap yarn, a crochet hook, an extra pair of needles (same size or smaller), two buttons (15 mm).
