Many knitters tell me they dislike knitting with several shades, so unlike my other designs this one is for those who prefer not to knit with several shades at a time. The Coast Baby Blanket in my Ravelry store is also designed for such knitters.

There are 13 different designs, including cabling, bobbles, twisted stitches and simple knit and purl. You will need a cable needle for some of the designs. They all reflect the theme of meadows and fields. The construction of the blanket follows the same format as my other baby blankets in that the squares can be knitted in strips from bottom to top then sewn together vertically. The edging is knitted separately then sewn on last. The pattern instructions are for the blankets as they appear in the images but there is scope for re-arranging as you wish. There are no charts to follow in this pattern.

All my Baby Blanket range is interchangeable, the squares all having the same number of stitches and rows, so there is plenty of scope for adapting and creating your own blanket or following the instructions as given.

The knitting instructions are for three sizes: small (45cm x 60cm). medium (60cm x 75cm) and large (75cm x 75cm).
