Meadow Cardigan
Meadow cardigan is a design that came to me when I was out walking in the beautiful Mackmyra Park in Sweden, there are meadows and just an overwhelmingly wonderful nature. I wanted this cardigan to mirror nature with its irregularity and variety.
Meadow cardigan is knitted bottom - up and you knit back and forth on circular needles while at the same time working button bands.
You use magic loop and short rows in this pattern, and it is written to be close fitting. If you prefer a looser fit, you may choose a size up, or if you use for example Nutiden yarn you can knit with two threads held together. The picture with the light green cardigan shows the result if you hold two threads together, which give you approx gauge 21 sts instead for 18 sts and results in a looser fit.
The pattern is available in 8 sizes from 33” to 56½“ (84 cm to 144 cm).
The pattern comes with instructions how to knit the grains.
Needles
Circular needle 5 mm / US 8 (32˝ / 80 cm or longer)
Double pointed needles 5 mm / US 8 for the sleeves if you prefer to not use the magic loop technique.
