Meadowsweet Dress
This girl’s summer dress is knit from the bottom up and in the round, coming in nine sizes from toddler to pre-teen. Starting with a somewhat complex lace hem, the dress is decreased along the A-line stockinette skirt to the lace waistline, after which an open back is bound off. From there, the dress is knit flat while a dipped neckline is shaped and finished off with crossed I-cord straps. The only finishing to the garment is seaming the straps in place to the back of the dress. By washing and drying your swatch to gauge, you can create a final garment that’s low-maintenance for kids.
