All my patterns are free until the end of my holiday break (6 January 2025). Happy holidays!

This is a brioche infinity scarf pattern with a twist - the pattern is entirely randomised by dice rolls and so every scarf will be unique. It is the eighth of the Pathways collection of randomised brioche knits.

It is a simple brioche knit which might suit a beginner - consisting of a four row repeat using two colours at a time, with a dice roll to decide the pattern stitches. The result is a relatively mindless knit that still provides a reversible organic and unique design, that hopefully will not require many references to the pattern.

My final product was roughly 120 cm long and 25 cm wide (sewn into a loop), but the length is absolutely customisable. Just vary the stripe lengths! The sample product was done seamed, but you can also use a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch for a seamless finish. Since it is a brioche knit, it is super comfy and squishy. It will stretch and drape well to fit anybody.

I’ve included two sets of instructions. One set of instructions are detailed and outlines stitch by stitch, the other set of instructions gives an overview for knitters like me who are impatient and lose track of where I am in a pattern easily.

Also included is an explanation of the basic principle - it should equip you with the understanding of how the pattern works and thus how you can customise the width or pattern!

If you’re a D&D player or just like nice dice like me, now is the time to pull them out and roll it without having to wait for the next session!

The sample knit is done in Little Bird Makes Yak/Silk DK, Wear it Proud mini skein set.
