Looking for a simple knit as well as an introduction to Mosaic knitting?
Mechita is it!
With just a little bit of an accent of Mosaic stitches this shawl is truly super simple and relaxing to knit.
The pattern is written in a format to take even a beginner knitter through every row right to the end and is a great way to get the basics of slipping stitches for Mosaic knitting.
You will wonder why you thought the technique was so hard.
And to minimise the number of tails to weave in yarn (A) is carried up the sides throughout all of the colour changes in the pattern. The instructions also tell you when to cut a colour and when to carry it instead.
There is a video link in the pattern showing how to carry yarn up the side.
There is also a BLANKET Verison of this design.
Measurements: After gentle blocking - approximately 44.5 cm/17.5” wide by 177.5 cm/70” long.
