Medallion Beanie
This pattern is part of the Twistorama collection, a 61/2 cable pattern collection.
Make a his (beanie) and her (tam) version by getting both patterns with the Medallion Duet combo.
Looking for a little cable and twisted stitches challenge?
The beanie band is worked sideways over only a small number of stitches on a twisted rib base, just right for a little cable challenge with the end clearly in sight.
You can choose to sew the band ends together, or to use a provisional cast-on in order to use the 3-needle bind-off to join the ends.
The band would make a great headband already (it’s the 1/2 pattern in the collection).
Stitches are picked up for the cap and worked in a twisted rib in the round.
A photo tutorial is included to show you how to pick up 2 sts per chain selvage st instead of just one st per chain st. A useful thing to know that might come in handy for other projects as well.
Shown in #606 Frost Gray.
