The Medallion Toque is a warm winter hat with a generous folded brim and a bold, graphic colourwork motif. Designed with a length meant to cover the full ear, Medallion Toque is a great project for using up all those partial balls of yarn leftover from your Icelandic sweater projects.

This pattern is for you if… You like toques with generous brims, you need a thick hat for a proper winter, or you’ve got lots of Aran-weight leftovers from other projects to use up.

Move along if… Geometric patterns or quick colour changes are not for you.
