This is a pattern for a crochet shawl made with 100% mercerized cotton yarn, category 2, and a hook size D (3.25 MM) hook. The finished measurements are about 55 inches wide and 22 inches long (200 grams or 740 yards of yarn are needed for this size). The yarn I used in YarnArt Begonia.

The gauge in this pattern is not important, so you can work with the hook that is most comfortable for you. And you can choose yarn and hook of your own choice as well, and make your shawl of any size you want.

The skill level is advanced beginner. Only basic stitches are used: chains, slip stitches, single crochets, and double crochets.
