I wanted to make my Toddler great niece a hat I had seen a pattern in here that I liked, but, when I wanted to start it, it wasn’t available …so I “winged it.”

This came out so different. When I put it up to take the pictures I thought it looked more like a girlie version of the hood knights wore under their helmets, thus the name.

Actually, it is a winter hat with a ruffle that fits over the collar of a coat.

For my Toddler size I used almost 2 skeins of yarn. So be warmed, if you make a larger hat you will need more yarn that the listed in this posting.
