Introduction
This easy rectangular rug pattern is meant for anyone looking for a simple way of making a lovely textured mat or rug for meditation, prayer, or just someplace warm to set your feet on when getting out of bed. Beginners should have a basic knowledge of casting on and binding off, who can knit, purl and slip stitches.

Yarn
You will need a skein of Cascade Eco+ yarn, or between 402 meters/440 yards and 437 meters/478 yards of bulky weight yarn.

Size
The pattern can be adjusted for width and length according to preference: simply add or take away stitches to the Cast On (in even increments) to adjust the width of the rug, and follow the pattern to the desired length. If making a bigger mat, you may need to buy extra yarn.

Pattern Notes
The K1, S1 wyf repeat on the one side and P1, S1 wyb repeat on the other creates the linen stitch effect, giving the rug a nicely textured underside and smooth top-side. Either side can be considered the “right” side.
