Mediterranean Shrug (ENG)
(US terminology)
The Mediterranean Shrug is an oversized garment that can be worn as a shawl. The design consists of a lace pattern that brings to mind palm trees. That is why, as I crocheted it, I imagined walking along the seashore at sunset. Light and warm, it´s the perfect piece for the cooler evenings.

The pattern is a PDF document that includes written instructions, a chart and video tutorials.

Level: Intermediate

Sizing: S/M (L/XL, 2XL/3XL, 4XL/5XL)
Finished measurements: adult sizes before seaming and after blocking:
To Fit Bust: 34-38 (40-44, 46-50, 52-58)” / 86-96 (102-112, 117-127, 132-147)
Upper Arm Circumference: 14 (16, 18, 20)” / 35 (40, 45, 50) cm
Sample Size: S/M. Because of the oversized style of the sweater, choosing a size is less about exact chest size and more about how loose you want your sweater to fit.

Materials: Vidalana Oasis, col. Morocco, 50% Alpaca, 25% Wool, 25% Suri, 4 (4, 5, 5) skeins needed, DK Weight, 850 (1000, 1200, 1250) yds (779 (916, 1100, 1145) m) used

Hook: US G/6 (4.0 mm)

Other notions: tapestry needle, tape measure and scissors

Gauge blocked: 2 Palm tree sts x 4 Palm tree st rows = 7” (17 x 17 cm) or 29 sts x 8 rows = 7” (17 x 17 cm) in pattern stitch

El Bolero Mediterráneo es una prenda oversize que se puede llevar como un chal. Es un patrón sencillo que se teje de una sola pieza. Los conocimientos requeridos son cadeneta, punto bajo, punto raso, punto alto, punto alto triple y punto alto en relieve por delante y detrás.
Para el diseño, me inspiré en las palmeras que bordean la costa del Mediterráneo. Mientras lo tejía, me imaginaba caminando por la orilla del mar, en una noche fresca de verano.

El patrón es un documento en PDF que incluye instrucciones escritas, un diagrama, gráfico de medidas y video tutoriales.

Materiales: Vidalana Oasis 50% Alpaca, 25% Wool, 25% Suri, 250 yds (230 m) / 100g, (779 (916, 1100, 1145) m) / 850 (1000, 1200, 1250) yds used / 4 (4, 5, 5) madejas necesarias

Aguja: ganchillo de 4.0 mm

Otros: aguja lanera, metro y tijeras

Nivel: Intermedio

Tallas: S/M (L/XL, 2XL/3XL, 4XL/5XL)

Medidas finales:
Contorno de pecho: 86-96 (102-112, 117-127, 132-147) cm / 34-38 (40-44, 46-50, 52-58)”

Como se trata de un modelo oversize, la elección de la talla dependerá más de la holgura deseada que del contorno del busto.
