Meera Shawl
Shawlaholics Edition 2 comes with three shawls : Laya, Meera and Reed. Please check out the whole collection.
Meera is a sweet and delicate shawlette suitable for using up a special skein of fingering weight yarn - to make a lovely gift for someone else or even for yourself.
Meera uses a top-down classic triangle construction with eyelet lace all over the body and some twisted ribbing for the border and a pronounced picot edging for finishing touches.
The wavy lace and the border reminds me of standing in beach waters with the waves rushing and foaming at our feet. The word Meera means “sea” or “ocean” in Sanskrit language and seemed suitable for the design. :)
