Make your own Meerkat! The 38 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Meerkat. PLUS there is a 15 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Meerkat using Worsted weight yarn.

Recommended for INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses colorwork/tapestry crochet to create the markings on the Meerkat. There are two options for back stripes: a three color, realistic pattern, or a two color, simplified pattern. This pattern does not provide a tutorial for the basics of colorwork/tapestry crochet.

A finished Meerkat made using Worsted Weight yarn and a 4mm hook is approximately 9.5 inches tall from head to toe, 4.5 inches wide from hip to hip, and 9.5 inches long from nose to tail.

To make a Meerkat using Worsted weight yarn you will need:
22 yds of cream/ivory yarn
140 yds of light brown/tan yarn
14 yds of medium brown yarn
19 yds of dark brown yarn (or 23 yds for simple stripes)
G (4/4.25mm) crochet hook
One pair of 12mm plastic safety eyes
Poly-fil or other stuffing
Darning needle
Stitch markers
