Meesia represents the first shawl in the Embryophytes collection.
The inspiration for this collection came through my day job working in the molecular plant sciences field. I wanted to create a collection of shawls each inspired by the big groups of plants within the embryophytes also known as land plants.

Here through the different textures I tried to capture the diversity of the mosses also called bryophytes in nature. As mosses are relatively simple plants growing nearly everywhere I wanted to keep this very simple and adjustable to wear with everything you want just to give a little extra warmth around your neck and your back just like a layer of moss covering a tree in the woods.

The pattern of this asymmetric shawl is adjustable to your need and your yardage. Just weigh your skein/s before starting and follow the percentages given for the individual sections. You can knit a little shawlette like mine or also a larger shawl – just as you like.

The Shawl in the pictures was knit out of 1 skein of TML and measures 175cm x 30cm (69 inch x 12inch).

Die Inspiration für dieses Tuch kam durch meinen Job in der molekularen Pflanzenbiologie. Ich wollte eine Kollektion designen, die inspiriert von den Hauptgruppen der Landpflanzen (Embryophytes) jeweils eine dieser großen Gruppen repräsentiert.

Durch unterschiedliche Texturen habe ich versucht die Charakteristiken der Moose einzufangen, die fast überall wachsen und somit das Tuch einfach und vielseitig zu halten. Es kann dir ein wenig Wärme spenden während es sich in deine Garderobe perfekt einfügt genauso wie ein Moos das auf einem Baum wächst.

Das Muster dieses asymmetrischen Tuchs ist an deine Bedürfnisse sowie an dein Garn anpassbar. Wiege dein Garn einfach vor dem Anschlagen des Tuches und folge den Prozentangaben und erhalte so entweder ein kleines Tüchlein oder ein großes Tuch in das du dich einwickeln kannst - ganz so wie du magst.

Das Tuch auf den Bildern ist gestrickt aus einem Strang TML und misst 175 cm x 30 cm (69 inch x 12inch).
