M A T E R I A L S N E E D E D

Crochet Hooks: Size H/8 5.00 and Size F
Hook size can be adjusted to your style of sewing.
Tapestry Needle: For weaving in ends and whip stitching pieces to your hat.
Yarn I Used: “Red Heart Super Saver” White, Red and Yellow for hats, yellow on ears and hands, black button only on the hat. Separate 2 strands from the black to do the mouth and use 4 strands for the nose.
“Caron Simply Soft” for eyes, cheeks, nose and mouth.
“I Love This Yarn” for the black band around the bottom of the hat attached to the red, and the black on the bottom of the ears
You can use any yarn you wish. My reasoning for using the different brands of yarn was not for color as much it was for thickness and flexibility. When I used the Red Heart to make the eyes and cheeks they stood up off the hat higher than I liked. When I used the Caron they where much thinner and had a much better look.
Row/Stitch markers: Optional, but highly recommended.
Large Safety Pins: Optional, to help secure hats together while stitching.
