Megalodon Shark
Make your own Megalodon Shark! This gigantic shark lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago. Reaching an estimated 46-67 feet in length, this huge creature with its enormous jaws would have ruled the ancient seas.
The Pattern includes instructions for two versions: a multi-color Megalodon using tapestry crochet, and a solid color Megalodon with an optional belly patch. The gaping jaws are created flat then worked up as part of the body, with no sewing involved. Only the fins and the optional belly piece are sewn. The 55 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Megalodon. PLUS there is a 22 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Megalodon using worsted weight yarn.
Recommended for INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary). The multi-colored version of the Megalodon also uses colorwork/tapestry crochet. This pattern does not provide a tutorial for the basics of colorwork/tapestry crochet.
A finished Megalodon made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 20” long from nose to tail, 9” tall from belly to dorsal fin tip, and 14” wide across the pectoral fins.
