This pattern started with the wish to use up my old Red heart self striping yarns, and I just knit until it runs out. Because these yarns are not soft, I knit it double stranded with a soft yarn, on US13/9mm.

I like making them into small scarves, to cover neck and shoulders, but adjusting width & length is very easy.

Yarns: Red Heart super saver, self striping yarn, or any med weight yarn of your choice.
knit together with
Very soft light/medium weight yarn.

Needles: US13/ 9mm

Gauge is not crucial.

Pattern: rib 1x1, and knit one below on knit sts. The result is rich with a lot of depth, and looks a bit like brioche st.
