The collar is worked as a single piece from the bottom of the back panel, up and over the shoulders and down the front; in a combination of twisted rib and stockinette worked flat.

This collar is worked in a single size, with a stretchy neckline. However, the pattern can easily be adapted to sit wider on the shoulders by increasing the number of stitches at the point of cast on. For example, you could increase the number of cast on stitches by 10. These additional 10 stitches will sit be absorbed into the main body of the fabric and will not effect the number of stitches worked for the twisted rib border. You will then just need to evenly divide these stitches across the number of stitches worked on each shoulder. I would be happy to assist with this kind of modification. Please note that this may effect the quantity of yarn required.
