Meli melo is a very fun and quick project to knit, for a warm and
comfy hat. Knitted with two strands of Azun Sport yarns in different colours, you can create nice random patterns that will make your hat unique! It’s construction is simple and makes it suitable for beginners.
This beannie is worked bottom-up, with a double fold edge in 22 ribs. Its originality lies in using 2 strands of yarn with different colors. It creates unique colored patterns.

I knitted my sample with 2 strands of Azun Sport yarn held together, in campêche blue and quebracho pink colors.

-Size: M (L)

-Circumference: the hat fits head circumference of about 54-58 cm (58-62 cm)

-Gauge: 15 stitches / 22 rows = 10 cm flat in stockinette stitch with 5 mm circular needles

-Needles: 5 mm / 40 cm circular needles for the main part and 5 mm / 80 cm for the Magic Loop on the tip of the hat

-Wool: The hat is knitted with two strands of different coloured yarns held together. 60 (65) g colour 1 of Azun Sport yarn by Knitty and Woolly; held together with 60 g (65 g) colour 2 of Azun Sport yarn by Knitty and Woolly for a total of 120 (130 ) g / 348 (377) m

-Techniques: Long-tail cast-on (or tubular cast-on), Knit in the round, Magic Loop, Decreases (SSK and k2tog)
