The Melí sweater is a classic round yoke design with a beautiful floral stranded coloreork motif. Its high neck, relaxed fit, and generously sized sleeves make it a garment that you can layer over other pieces. Inspired by the Melí tree from southern Chile, which blooms with stunning white flowers each summer, this sweater seeks to pay homage to the beauty of nature and provide a knitting experience that gives you serenity and companionship during the colder months.

CONSTRUCTION:
Melí is a round yoke sweater worked top-down, in the round, seamlessly. The high neck is started with an italian cast on worked in 1x1 rib. German short rows are introduced to shape the back of the neck. Then, the round yoke is worked, featuring a stranded colorwork design all around. Body and sleeves are separated at the underarm. Both body and sleeves are worked straight in stockinette stitch, with a colorwork detail at the bottom and a hem worked in 1x1 rib and finished with a tubular bind off.
