Mellem Jyder
In Ebeltoft, where I live, we have “Mellem Jyder”. It is a restaurant, whose history can be traced back to 1610. The old house has many beautiful details, but it is the fine painted pattern on the entrance door, that inspired me to this design.
The vest is knitted with Blackhill Linwool on needles 3.5 mm.
There is used Fair Isle technique, and the vest is knitted in the round with a steek and cut for armholes and neckhole.
The colors are chosen to resemble the original colors on the door, but feel free to choose other color combinations.
The two-color rib is knitted on needles 3 mm.
The pattern includes 6 sizes. Choose the size according to your chest width and adjust the length if desired.
