„Mellon“ is an elvish word for „friend“. This wonderful big wrap surrounds his wearer like a good friend and like an embrace from a good friend it gives warmth and comfort.
It is an ideal accessoire for many occasions, for example as an addition to a light blazer or at mild spring or autumn days.
It is really like a good friend who stand by your side when you need him.

This wrap was desinged especially for the pure yarns Rohrspatz & Wollmeise, but it can be knitted with every other yarns. The yarn should not be thicker than sport weight and its yardage has to be converted accordingly. Very thin lace yarn gives a lighter and smaller wrap.
Even leftovers can be used for this wrap.

You need at least two circular needles who have the same size because you have to leave the stitches on a holder at some parts of the pattern. I recommend to use a rope system. The needle size has to be matched to the used yarn. Also I recommend to use stitch markers.

The pattern runs 8 pages, it contains pictures to every step, a written pattern, charts and a schematic.
