Mellow Mood Sweater
Step-by-step video tutorial.
I’ll walk you through all the steps to create a simple yet stylish top-down seamless raglan sweater.
This kind of sweater is the one beginners often start with, and I added some interesting design elements by incorporating rib lines that run down the length of the sweater.
I love the Mellow Mood sweater for its minimalist design because true comfort is often found in simplicity.
A “mellow mood” refers to a state of calmness, relaxation, and tranquility, often associated with a gentle and easygoing disposition.
♥ SKILL LEVEL: Designed for knitters who know how to knit and purl. The pattern offers step-by-step instructions and a full video tutorial for creating this sweater with confidence.
♥ PATTERN. Instant download PDF file in both cm and inches. Additionally, I’ve prepared a Knitting Project Planner exclusively for the top-down raglan sweater, including a round counter.
♥ LANGUAGE: English, German, French (use ChatGPT to translate it into your native language).
♥ METHOD: This sweater is crafted seamlessly using circular needles, and it’s worked from the top down. It starts at the neckline, progressing into a yoke. The yoke is then divided to create both the body and sleeves, which are finished separately.
♥ CUSTOMIZE Your Sweater: choose your preferred length, neckline, and fit options.
♥ 7 SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.
This sweater is designed with 20-25% positive ease, ensuring you’ll achieve a relaxed and comfortable fit. If you prefer a more fitted look, you can choose to knit a size or two smaller.
I am wearing a size S and, I am 168 cm tall (5’6’’) with a 89 cm (35 inches) bust circumference.
♥ YARN - Explore your creativity by choosing from a variety of natural yarns. Opt for 100% wool yarn or explore alternative options easily found at your local yarn store.
I used Drops “Nepal” yarn (65% Wool, 35% Alpaca, aran/worsted, 50 g/75 m or 1.8 oz/82 yards, color #0206) for the Light Beige sweater.
For the Light Gray sweater in the video tutorial, I used Drops “Alaska” yarn (100% Wool, aran/worsted, 50 g/70 m or 1.8 oz/76 yards, color #63 pearl gray, less pleasant to touch than Drops Nepal).
You will need 900(XS) - 990 (S) - 1150(M) - 1230(L) - 1400(XL) - 1640(2XL) - 1725(3XL) yards.
