Mellow Mood Top
Step-by-step video tutorial.
This beginner-friendly tee pattern is pure knitting joy, just like its big brother, the Mellow Mood Sweater.
The yoke comes together quickly, keeping you motivated as you work through the increases and establish the raglan lines with a beautiful 10-stitch broken rib pattern. Then, it’s smooth sailing with effortless knitting in the round.
Spoiler alert: this pattern is highly addictive, you might just knit more than one!
♥ SKILL LEVEL. Don’t worry if you’re new to garment knitting. All of my patterns are designed with adventurous beginners in mind. As long as you’re comfortable with the knit and purl stitches and have tackled projects like scarves or hats, you have the skills to create this top.
Plus, I’ve filmed a helpful video tutorial to guide you through each step and boost your confidence!
♥ PATTERN. Instant download PDF file in both cm and inches. Additionally, I’ve prepared a Knitting Project Planner exclusively for the top-down raglan top, including a round counter.
♥ LANGUAGE: English, German, French (use ChatGPT to translate it into your native language).
♥ METHOD: This top is crafted seamlessly using circular needles, and it’s worked in the round from the top down. It starts at the neckline, progressing into a yoke. We’ll add rows to the Back, working flat between the raglan lines to create a flap that shapes the neckline. The yoke is then divided to create both the body and sleeves, which are finished separately.
♥ CUSTOMIZE Your Top: Choose your favorite finishing touch: classic 2x2 ribbing or a minimalist i-cord edge.
♥ 9 SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.
This top is designed with approx. 3-10 cm/ 1-4 inches of positive ease.
I am wearing a size S and, I am 168 cm tall (5’6’’) with a 89 cm (35 inches) bust circumference.
