This is a project for crocheters who consider themselves ‘Fiber Artists’ and are fully aware that artists SUFFER FOR THEIR WORK.

Which is to say that this bag is made in the round, utilizing the magic loop method (video tutorial included) and includes cables made on the return pass. (Picture tutorial included)

Physically, it’s not an easy pattern to work. It’s going to take time and concentration. I mean, it’s not difficult to understand or anything; it’s just fiddly. You may or may not get a little blister on your finger. But, at the end of the day, you’ll end up with a cool bag.

And people will admire that cool bag. And you will preen and duck your head modestly. After all, this is artisan level work you’ve just created and therefore something to be proud of. And then they will say the dreaded words….

“Wow! This is so amazing! You should totally sell these! I would definitely pay $30-$40 for one of these!”

And then you will remember the hours you slaved and cursed over this bag and laugh….and laugh….and laugh….

But only to hide your tears.

Artists are never truly appreciated until they’re dead. Sorry.
