With full instructions on knitting a dolly and her outfit. Melody is wearing her new birthday dress and hat, all ready to go shopping with her birthday money in her little bag.
The hat is sewn on.

The pattern is knitted flat and seamed afterwards.

The body and head are knitted in one piece from the bottom up. The dress is knitted in one piece from the top down.

The pattern is fairly easy to knit if you are able to do basic knit, purl and increase, decrease stitches.
Keep to an even tension for a smooth appearance. If you are a loose knitter either use a smaller needle or a thicker yarn. In this case I would suggest aran or worsted. The doll measurements may knit up slightly larger over all.

Scraps of black and pink for eyes and mouth
Toy safety filling
A small button for her dress
Optional ribbons

3mm knitting needles
Optional 3mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
