Melroons the Giraffe is a happy, child friendly, soft, cuddly stuffed animal. Because she has safety eyes, she is not recommended for children under 3 years of age. Melroons sits about 12 inches tall and is about 11 inches front to back. She is very well behaved and is looking for a home where she can accompany someone on safari.

The Bernat Pipsqueak yarn is difficult to work with in regard to not being able to “see” the stitches. Feeling for the openings in each stitch helps keep number of stitches accurate.

HINT:
To change colors, put hook through stitch where color is to change. Pull through first portion of single crochet, then pull through new color on second half (2 loops on hook) of single crochet. Proceed to next stitch with SLST of new color. Single crochet a few stitches. Cut end of old color leaving about 3 inches of yarn. This should be knotted to new color end.
