Yarn:
1 skein each of 4 colors
Samples were worked in superwash wool using 100g skeins
Any weight yarn can be used, but the instructions are written specifically for DK or worsted weight.

Gauge:
DK: 5 sts/4.5 rows per inch
WORSTED: 4.5 sts/4 rows per inch (all unblocked)

Suggested Hook Sizes:
DK: J (6mm) or K (6.5mm)
WORSTED: K (6.5mm) or 7mm

A larger hook is used so that after blocking the scarf will have a nice drape and not result in a too-bulky fabric, but if your starting fabric feels loose, drop down a hook size. You’ll also need a hook one size smaller than the one you choose for working the border row.

Notions:
Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
One removable stitch marker to mark right side (not optional—this will be necessary for determining which side of the work you are working on)

Measurements:
Final measurements will vary depending upon how many repeats you choose to work, but samples ranged from 22–31” high x 43–60” tip to tip.
