An alternative to the original resistance hat. This one has a longer top.

We like using a worsted weight yarn and knitting at 5.5 sts. to 1” to get a nice warm hat. You can also use a DK weight yarn.
To make it even warmer, double the ribbing and fold it up for two layers over your ears.

220 yards of worsted weight is enough to make one hat including the icord and tassle or pom pom.
.

We knit it on size 5 circular 16” needles, and double points (or magic loop) for the top decreasing.

We are providing this pattern for free so it is available to everyone.
If you can afford to donate to an organization to help Melt the Ice there are many organizations that would benefit.
I like ‘standwithminnesota.com’.
