Meltaway is worked from tip-to-top as a shallow triangle that is a scarf or a shawl depending on how much yarn you use (200-600 yards). Just keep crocheting until you run out of yarn. It can be made with any weight of yarn by changing the hook size to suit the yarn. It is made with hdc in the back loops to create a ribbed, chain stitch detailing horizontally across the surface with picots at the edge. Wear it with the point in front or back or even as a head scarf. My sample was made with about 200 yards of DK weight yarn and a size H (5 mm) crochet hook. It measured 44” wide at the top and 14” deep at center back. Enjoy!
