The Meltem top is knitted seamlessly top-down.
The top is started at the shoulder with a fun and easy stitch pattern that continues on the upper back.
The lower back is worked in stockinette stitch, then stitches are picked up at the bottom of each shoulder to form the fronts.
The front and back are joined at underarm and the body is then worked in the round.
The neckband edging is worked in icord at the same time as the rest of the project

You can choose to work the body in a straight version or a slightly flared version, widened at the hips. The length of the body is easily modified to suit your own body measurements.

It’s a pleasing project punctuated by the textured stitch that lends a boho chic vibe to this summer top.

Gauge 
24 sts x 34 rows = 10 cm /4 inches of Stockinette stitch in the round on larger needles, after blocking.

Needles
• 3,5 mm / US 4 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for sizes 1 to 5 or 100 cm / 40 inches for sizes 6 to 9 for the body.

Always use the needle size that gives you the right gauge! Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Meltem se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down) sans couture. On commence par tricoter les épaules puis le dos. Les mailles sont ensuite relevées au bas de chaque épaules pour former les devants de l’ouvrage. Dos et devant sont assemblés puis tricotés en circulaire tout en jersey.

L’ensemble des finitions de l’encolure, des emmanchures et du corps se font en même temps que le reste du projet.
Vous pouvez au choix tricoter le corps dans une version droite ou une version légèrement évasée, élargie aux hanches.

C’est un projet agréable rythmé par le point texturé qui donne un esprit bohème à ce top estival.

Le patron est accompagné d’un pas à pas photo pour vous aidez à réaliser le point texturé.

• Aiguille circulaire en 2,75 mm pour les finitions des manches et de l’encolure.

Utilisez toujours une taille d’aiguille qui vous permet d’obtenir le bon échantillon ! Au besoin, ajustez-la.
