Melusine
This sea- inspired pattern is made up from a simple ‘wave’ stitch, offset in rows in order to ‘mix’ up the wave to be more like the movement of the sea.
The colours of the sample yarn looked just like the sea at Pentire in Cornwall when I visited earlier this year—a slightly overcast day with the broken sunlight turning the sea into multiple blues and greys.
Rows of a solid/semi-solid colour help to highlight the wave movement and provide contrast.
Materials:
4ply yarn in variegated colour approx 380m
4ply yarn in solid or semi-solid colour (approx 40m)
Size: approx 160cm x 30cm although fully adjustable. A guide on customisation is given within the pattern.
The pattern is written in UK crochet terms (UK dc = US sc, UK tr =US dc) however a conversion to the US stitch is provided in the stitch legend.
I provide full pattern support via email.
