melville
Just here for a whale of a good time! :) This sweater pattern is my white whale so to speak - finally the first time I designed and knit a sweater from start to finish. Hopefully this Moby Dick inspired creation helps to chase after the unattainable (or curl up with a good book once it’s finished).
Melville is a loose raglan style sweater with Morse code detailing (spelling out SOS with each repeat) on the raglan shaping, Fibonacci spacing of purl waves on the sleeves, and a color work whale on the body of the sweater - a whale fit for Captain Ahab himself.
Charts are included for the Morse code cabling, sleeve wave detail, and for the whale motif itself.
