This hood starts with a provisional cast on for the cowl, which is knitted in the round and given half a twist and the stitches for the hood are picked up and knitted following a chart. A few decreases shape the “crown”, grafting closes up the top of the hood and a hem is sewn to give the hood a nice looking border. A faint image of a skull can be seen in the texture of the finished object.
