Memories Washcloth
I named this pattern Memories, because this stitch pattern has many memories in it for me. My mom is a knitter and crocheter and when I was much younger she used to make mittens for me to wear. The pattern that she used, has this stitch pattern in it and I loved this stitch pattern, with the goal that someday, I would knit it too.
When I see this pattern, I think of my mom, the mittens, and the fun times that I had in the snow.
The washcloth/dishcloth starts at the bottom and you knit to the top. If you knit to gauge the piece will be 8 3/8 inches by 8 3/8 inches.
I love cotton yarn and love using cotton yarn. The cloth pictured here uses Hobby Lobby, I Love This Cotton, the color was Passion Flower. I have used Sugar and Cream as well as other cotton yarns for this cloth. I have made a lot of them over the years having put the pattern together and keeping it in my head. I figured that I should write it down and pass it on.
