Mending Fences
by Hélène Rush
The mending Fences Cardigan uses slipped stitches and a long color change yarn to create the “fence” pattern on the body, sleeve cuff and neck trim. Back, fronts and sleeves are worked flat and then joined at the underarm and worked with raglan shaping up to the neck.
You will need as shown:
4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls of DungarEase #610 Chambray and
1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2) balls of Ty-Dy Cotton #663 Coral Sea
6 buttons 1” in size
one pair and one 24-in circular in the needle size to obtain gauge and one pair straight needles in the next smaller size.
This pattern is rated intermediate.
