I do really like geometrical patterns, their clear lines and intersections, the apparent simplicity and richness of such designs. They fascinate me, and I come back to them again and again.

I offer you a flared semi-fitted v-neck cardigan with straight sleeves. The cardigan is worked from bottom up in simple stockinette stitch; strips of a tracery pattern in contrast color adorne it’s front openings, cuffs, and bottom line. Front and back of the cardigan are worked as one piece up to the armholes, then separated. Color patterns are worked on the right and on the wrong sides. Front, neckline, and bottom edges are finished with garter stitch border, worked in the round as one piece. Set-in sleeves are worked from top down; sleeves’ caps are shaped with short rows. There are not seams except shoulder ones in this cardigan. The cardigan hits below hips.

Difficulty level - moderate.
To make this cardigan, you have to be able to work short rows, and buttonholes; be familiar with stranded colorwork (both, knit and purl); know how to read knitting charts, and pick up stitches along knitted fabric edges.

Gauge:​ 24 sts х 36 rows = 10 х 10 cm in stockinette stitch.

Recommended yarn: fingering weight yarn, approximately 400 m/100 g. For the model shown above I used Alize LanaGold Fine

Approximate yardage: about 400 g for size 44-46; 450 - 500 g for size 48-50; 500-550 g for size 52-54, including about 50-70 g of contrast color yarn for the color patterns.

Needles and notions:
Knitting needles 2.5 - 3.5 mm (or any other size necessary to get the gauge); spare needles or cables to hold stitches; stitch markers; wool needle; buttons.
I used 3.5 mm needles.

Я предлагаю вашему вниманию кардиган полуприталенного силуэта, расклешенный книзу, с V-образным вырезом горловины, прямыми рукавами и жаккардовым узором по низу, вдоль планок и на манжетах рукавов. Основное полотно - лицевая гладь.
Направление вязания - снизу вверх, в изделии только плечевые швы. До пройм полочки и спинка вяжутся единым полотном, дальше разделяются. Узор вывязывается как в лицевых, так и в изнаночных рядах.
Обработка планок, горловины, низа - единым блоком, платочным узором.
Рукава вывязаны с помощью укороченных рядов, сверху вниз из пройм.

Уровень сложности - средний.
Для вязания этой модели нужно уметь выполнять укороченные ряды, вязать жаккардовые узоры как в лицевых, так и в изнаночных рядах, читать схему, набирать петли по краю вязаного полотна,вывязывать петли для пуговиц.

Плотность вязания гладью:​ 24 петли х 36 рядов = 10 х 10 см.

Рекомендованная пряжа: Примерная толщина - около 400 м/100 гр.

порядка 400 грамм для размера 44 - 46, 450 - 500- для размера 48-50, 500-550 для размера 52-54.
