Pattern is for men’s thick knit ankle socks with a basket weave type pattern on top of the foot and contrasting colour for toe, heel and cuff. Sock is constructed toe up, body of foot, gusset, and cuff are knit in the round, and heel is worked flat with shorts rows.

Finished size of the sole of the sock is 10 inches long by 4 inches wide. Design on top of Foot is a repeating pattern and rows can be deleted or added to shorten or lengthen the body of the sock in order to modify the size.

Pattern is written for medium weight (4) yarn on US size 6 (3.25 mm) dpn needles. Gauge is 17 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches. 75 yards of yarn is required per sock or 150 yards total for a pair. Pattern is written to make a single sock.
