As a tribute to Amy and to that day, I’ve designed a man’s sweater that features cables and textures and is worked entirely seamlessly. Of course, there’s no reason a woman couldn’t wear it too!”

Size: Men’s small (medium, large, extra-large)

Finished Measurements:

• Chest: 45 (52, 56, 60) inches
• Length: 25 (27, 29, 31) inches

Materials:

• Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted (100% wool; 245 yd/224m per 100g skein), seven (eight, nine, eleven) skeins #701 Stone
• One US #7 (4.5mm) 29-inch circular needle
• One US #7 (4.5mm) 16-inch circular needle
• One set of four or five US #7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles
• Cable needle
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

• 22 sts and 26 rows = 4 inches in Center Cable Pattern
• 18 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in seed st

Notes: Sweater is knit in the round without seams. Body is knit up to the underarms, sleeves are knit up to the underarms, then all are joined and the yoke is knit in the round with decreases forming the raglan lines. One stitch marker should be a unique color to indicate beginning of the round.

Following the Charts: When knitting in the round, every row of the chart is read from right to left, the same way the stitches on the needles move from right to left. When making a gauge swatch, practice the 29-st Center Panel Cable, working it flat (back and forth). To do this, read all WS rows on the chart from left to right.
