It’s no secret that, when it comes to hats and scarves, men tend to like "boring"…OK, "conservative."  This set is based on a very traditional rib pattern and the main color, but then gets spiced up with an out-of-the-box, but not-too-flamboyant stripe pattern.  (Wait until you see how the one-row stripes are made!)  The result is conservative without being boring.  If you make both the hat and scarf, it may take you more than just the weekend.



Note:  Yarn requirements are enough for both hat and scarf.
