The rare and elusive mer-bear (aka the bearmaid) is endangered because its habitat in the wild is disappearing. Help this amigurumi species survive by knitting one of your own!
The tail, body, and head are knit in one piece, with ears, paws, and tailfin knit separately. Absolutely no head gussets are involved!
The pattern is written row by row, with stitch descriptions and pictures.
Multiple finishes and other ways to personalize the pattern are included.
The examples are knit with sport weight cotton and angora blend yarns, with US 3.5 double pointed needles and small crochet hook. The bear measures approximately 8 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches across
