When I designed the MERCEDES CARDIGAN I was thinking of the cold days of winter and the desire to stay cosy and warm.
The pattern is an offshoot of the Mercedes Sweater that I launched last year and like it, it’s a simple, quick-to-knit project that can accompany you at home, on the train or at the café with your friends.

DESCRIPTION

MERCEDES Cardigan is knitted with two different colored yarns helded together of Victória Ovelha Negra (original colors are nº 9 + nº 13), a wool from Portuguese merino sheep or two yarns helded together of Victória from Ovelha Negra with Fyberspates Cumulus
The idea is to combine two contrasting colours that randomly form a marbled effect.

It’s a raglan cardigan, oversized, top down, it has a positive ease between 10 cm and 15 cm 4 or 6 inches. This means that it is designed to be 10 cm to 15 cm 4 to 6 inches, ease longer than your bust measurements.
Note: If choosing to knit Mercedes with less ease for a more fitted look please review the measurements.

• Gauge 16 sts x 22 rows in stockinette stitch on US 9 needles 5,5 mm, 4x4 inches 10 x 10 cm, after blocking

• Needles Circular needles US9 5,5 mm cable 32, 40 or 47 inches / 80, 100 or 120 cm or the necessary to have the correct gauge US 7 4,5 mm - K2, P2 rib For sleeves use Magic loop technique with US9 5,5 mm and US7 / 4,5 mm needles.
