Meretricious!
’Meretricious!’ ’And a Happy New Year!’
A festive jumper inspired by John Watson’s Xmas attire. Ideal for seasonal parties, break-ups with dissatisfied girlfriends and danger night vigils.
I adapted the jumper’s stranded patterns from the original Icelandic sweater design (changing them slightly along the way). Other elements of the design are original. The jumper is knitted in 8-ply yarn, creating a versatile garment useful in most climates. A lower neckline and narrower sleeves allow for a better fit.
The body and the sleeves are knitted entirely in the round from the lower edge to underarms, then joined together to form a yoke.
The pictured version is child-sized (8-10 years) – please refer to sizing charts for women’s s, m, l, xl. Sizing is approximate only. You can adjust sizing by increasing/decreasing width by multiples of 6, and adjusting length accordingly.
Please be advised that the women’s sizes have not been made up as yet, and are therefore theoretical products of a lengthy process of deduction and analysis. Ah, the process of elimination!
